Join PEEC for a screening of the short film, I Am Cheo followed by a panel discussion about climate change. The discussion will include filmmakers Monica E. Griego and Pablo Irlando-Wildman, Garrett Altmann from the Santa Clara Pueblo Forestry Department, YUCCA Steering Committee member Artemisio Romero y Carver, Resilient New Mexico podcast co-host Sandra West, and other representatives from across Northern New Mexico. We'll hear from organizations, individuals, and community groups that are taking action locally to combat climate change in different ways.

About the short film: 

Produced by the Hispanic Access Foundation, told through the eyes of a young boy, “I Am Cheo” explores the intersection of Latino culture and communities with the outdoors and climate issues and emphasizes the need for engagement and action to preserve our future.
