Gentle Walks

For the summer Gentle Walks will begin at 8:30 a.m. (a half hour earlier) and last until noon.  This will accommodate the extra drive time needed to reach the cooler areas in the Jemez Mountains.  

Gentle Walks provide a different kind of experience where the emphasis is upon discovery, not the mileage gained. We explore easy trails of less than two miles and under 300 feet elevation change, meandering from one item of interest to another. We spend a bit of the time in silence, either sitting or walking and we get a sense of the landscape around us. 

Please register for the walk each week that you will participate. In the case of inclement weather, the walk may be canceled. All registered participants will receive an email update before the walk.
