Description
Please join the board, staff, and friends of PEEC for a Starry Night in Seville, a special dinner at the Los Alamos Nature Center. Our honored guest will be Senator Martin Heinrich, who will accept a Champion of Nature award for his work in transferring the Valles Caldera to the National Park Service.
Enjoy a sumptuous Spanish tasting dinner catered by Pig + Fig with fine Spanish wines and beer served by Pajarito Brewpub. The Seville night sky will be featured in the Planetarium; the event will also include music and an “Action Auction” of outdoor experiences and other items.
Dinner will include heirloom tomato gazpacho with olive oil crostini; assorted Spanish cheeses; ceviche of trout and langoustine with Belgian endive; smoked snow goose and duck with fig jam on rice flour focaccia; and assorted Spanish sweets: quince jelly candies, turron (Spanish nougat), dark chocolate truffles, and Seville orange tarts. Spanish wines will include Garnacha, Tempranillo, Rueda, and sherry.
Tickets (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) are available online at peecnature.org or in person at the Los Alamos Nature Center. Suggested dress is casual with a sparkle: “jeans and jewels.” Come support environmental education and engagement—we’re going to have a lot of fun!
Admission: $75/person (wine or beer included), $60/person (non-alcoholic).
The event will also include an auction of nature-related rare experiences and creations, as well as an amazing cabin and two houses to enjoy. Many of the experiences are for a limited group of people, so consult with your friends to bid together. Come prepared!. Click here to view auction items.
