Description

This class gives you time to draw animal specimens using different drawing techniques. Easy to understand demonstrations by Lisa Coddington will get you started in using graphite, charcoal and watercolor washes. Lisa will emphasize drawing foundation skills  reinforce how to develop forms with light and shadow.

 

The objective is to complete a series of sketches and/or complete a longer drawing. Beginners and experienced artists are welcome.

 

Lisa Coddington is a Santa Fe artist and instructor, who has been teaching art for over 15 years. In recent years she taught at Santa Fe Community College, the University of New Mexico, and independent workshops. She was awarded a grant from the American Society of Botanical Artists to teach in Grenada, West Indies. Lisa is currently commissioned to develop a Northern New Mexico wild flower series.

 

This class is $40 for non-members and $32 for members. Please register by February 14th. We will email a list of needed supplies after February 14th. Please bring a lunch. We will take a 30-minute lunch break.
